A fact finding tour to places of successfully established geothermal power production in the US brought not only interesting insights into the production from hydrothermal reservoirs, but also valuable new personal contacts to leading scientists and experts.

Interpretation of seismic data in the stimulated reservoir 

The interpretation of all micro- and macroseismic data, as well as the hydraulic data form well Basel 1 progresses to plan. The interpreted data provide the basis for a detailed risk analysis and future activities.

Evaluation and interpretation of all seismic data  

Geopower-Basel has ordered a detailed evaluation and interpretation of all seismic data from the hydraulic stimulation in Basel 1 between December 2 to 8, 2006. Of particular interest are the focal solution mechanisms of the larger seismic events as well as the activated fault plane sizes and displacement.
