The global geothermal energy resources exceed any energy demand of mankind by far. Geothermal energy can and will provide an important contribution to the global energy needs in future.

We develop, plan and manage the exploration and development of geothermal energy such as simple heating facilities or complex pilot plants with deep wells.

Hydrocarbons

Beside all efforts to use regenerative resources (e.g., water, geothermal energy, wind), we will still depend on gas and oil for the next decades. However, natural gas is a clean and efficient resource, which releases less CO2 per kWh compared to oil and particularly coal. The gas need in Switzerland has increased continuously and still will rise. Unfortunately, Switzerland is completely dependent on foreign import.

However, there are clear evidences that gas is present in the Swiss subsurface. A systematic exploration of natural gas in Switzerland hasn’t occurred so far.

Geothermal Explorers International LTD defines potential prospective localities. We plan exploration concepts such as 3D seismic that help to find best places. We carefully evaluate the suitability and profitability of potential prospects in regard of gas productions and storage. We provide support in finding partners for exploration and manage the complete process from the beginning of the exploration to the final site development.

Gas storage

Switzerland has no own seasonable gasholders. Therefore, Switzerland is completely dependent on foreign storage capacities. The best gasholders are natural gas fields. For this reason, a systematic gas exploration is reasonable.

To increase the chance of success, we develop and plan multi-purpose explorations. Both, gas and hot water accumulations demand similar characteristics on the reservoir. Following a coupled exploration concept, the risk of failure of a campaign is reduced distinctly.
